 1) Case - holds components and helps with airflow
 
                                            2) Motherboard - Connects all electronic parts
 

3) CPU - Central Processing Unit

 
                                                 4) Heat sink - pulls heat out of case/ unit
 

5) RAM - random access memory
 
 
6) Video Card - Processes graphics and sends them to the monitor
                                    7) VGA Cable - Connects the monitor to the graphics card
 8) Sound Card - Sends audio to outputs
 9) Network Card -  Connects the monitor to the network
10) Network Cable - Connects the network card to the network
11) Hard Drive - Long term memory
12) Floppy Disk Drive - Plays Floppy disks

13) Floppy Disk - Stores 1.44mb of info


 14) DVD Drive - Digital Versatile Disc
15) Power Supply - Brings power to the motherboard

16) Ribbon Cable - Sends info from motherboard to hard drive(old)


 17) SATA Cable - Sends info from mother board to hard drive(new)

Brush Tool: The brush tool let's you paint in any colour avaliable like a paint brush.

Gradient Tool: This let's you create a 2 colour gradual change from top to bottom or side to side.

Paint bucket: The paint bucket let's you fill a selected area/layer with a colour.

Eye Dropper Tool: The eye dropper tool let's you take a single colour from another photo or area and that will change your foreground colour to the chosen colour.

Magic Wand:the Magic Wand selects pixels based on tone and colour. 
Quick Select:selects pixels with a similar colour.
Rectangular / Elliptical Marquee: Rectangular Marquee 
 Makes a rectangular selection (or a square, when used with the Shift key).
Elliptical Marquee 
 Makes an elliptical selection (or a circle, when used with the Shift key).
Single Row or Single Column Marquee
Defines the border as a 1‑pixel‑wide row or column.
Lasso:This is a freehand selection tool. Click and hold your left mouse button on the image and draw your selection.
Magnetic Lasso: 
This is a very handy tool for selecting areas which have reasonably well-defined edges. Left-click at the starting point of your selection and simply move the mouse along the edge.
Polygon Lasso:
Similar to the lasso tool, except that instead of holding your mouse button down to draw, left-click on various points to create a selection with a series of straight edges.

RGB Colour: red green blue

Compression
Gifs are good for : line art and cartoons


Jpegs are good for: colour photos
